    “Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone”  is a very interesting story. Harry Potter is the son of the wizard,  but he doesn't know about it. He is an ordinary boy but he has a  lightning- shaped scar on his forehead.  He is thin and short. He has a pale face, black hair and light-green eyes. He wears round spectacles.
      He lives in the family of his uncle Mr Vernon Dursley and his aunt  Mrs Petunia Dursley.
      He has got a cousin. His name is Dudley. Harry is a very clever and talented boy and Dudley is is very bad and fat. He hates Harry and always tries to kick him. All Harry  knows is an unhappy life with the horrible Dursleys. He lives in a tiny closet  at the foot of the stairs.

    Hi! My name is Ted. I want to tell you about my family. We are seven. I've got mum and dad, granny and granddad, brother and sister. Our family is very friendly.
     My dad's name is Robert. He is 45. He is a doctor. He can play tennis very well. He likes to take photos. It's his hobby. We often go for a walk and he helps me with Maths.
     As for my mum she is a beautiful woman. She is 40. Her name is Mary. She is a journalist. My mum can play the guitar and sing.  She sings very well.
      My elder brother's name is Bill. Ye is a student. He wants to be a doctor like my father . He comes home only on holidays.
     My little sister Ann is a very funny girl. She is 5. She likes to play with her dolls.
     My granddad isn't very old. He likes to play chess with my dad and often wins. My granny is very kind. She helps mum at home. She likes to watch TV with my granddad. She often makes tasty cakes and Ann likes to help her.

  Children like having a good time. On summer holidays they go to the seaside or to the river. They lie in the sun or build castles of sand.  Some of them enjoy making short trips. Together with parents they travel by bus, car, train or by bicycle.  They also enjoy taking photos of the places they visit. They buy different things for their collections.
  In the big cities children visit art galleries, museums and watch performances in circuses.
  All the children like making up funny parties at their weekends. They can have a cookery party , a teddy bear party , a football party. Parents help them to make a lot of things for these parties. Together they make cakes, blow up balloons , prepare party masks and beautiful dresses, draw funny pictures and send invitations. It's great!
